Industry Veteran Brings Over 20 Years of Marketing Experience to Umbel’s Leadership Team

AUSTIN, TX--Umbel, a leading customer data platform headquartered in Austin, TX, today announced that Lisa Pearson will join the company as Chief Marketing Officer. Pearson brings over 20 years of experience as a business leader with a strong track record of scaling global brands including Procter & Gamble, Dell, PepsiCo and many pre and post IPO companies. Pearson was recently the Chief Marketing Officer for Bazaarvoice (NASDAQ: BV) where she led all aspects of the global marketing organization and was a key member of the team that took the company public in 2012. Pearson will be responsible for developing and deploying Umbel’s global marketing strategy, reporting to CEO, H.O. Maycotte.

Pearson’s hiring follows Umbel’s recent move into the iconic, 20,000 square foot creative space at Seaholm Power Plant in downtown Austin, as the company prepares to double its employee base. Umbel works with some of the world's leading media, sports and entertainment, retail and nonprofit companies including O'Reilly, Vox Media, YMCA and utilizes data to drive key behaviors, including ticket sales for SXSW, Circuit of the Americas, the Indiana Pacers and more.
